Time
Time passed. We spent 4 years in our beach shack then moved to New Caledonia for work. Great tenants came and went, each stamping our house with a little of them.
The Beach Shack
We bought our beautiful beach shack in North Beach, Perth in 1999. We lived in it for 4 years. In that time we knocked down walls and created crazy areas. A huge bathroom with spa bath. A secondhand farmhouse kitchen with our ridiculously long 3m Solomon Island pedestal table. It was a fun house with soul…but little finesse. We had a baby and let her roam Star Swamp with our dog as though it were hers. What a house. But it was never a house for the future.
About
This blog is about building a house in Australia. It documents processes that we go through, difficulties we face and information useful for anyone building a house. I live in New Caledonia with my husband Kim and my girls, Jess Willow and Luca.
